We conducted the first carbon footprint calculation for CORMECOR (Corporación Intercomunal para la Gestión Sustentable de los Residuos Sólidos Urbanos del Área Metropolitana de Córdoba) for the year 2021.
The operational scope included:
Piedras Blancas Treatment and Final Disposal Site.
Administrative offices in Córdoba City.
Methane emissions from waste decomposition at the landfill site were calculated based on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) methodology.
